SFT(Students for a Free Tibet: スチューデンツ・フォー・フリーチベット)は、非暴力で平和的な社会的、政治的、経済的活動を通じて、世界中の若い世代にチベットで起こっている人権侵害の現状を知ってもらい、支援活動への意識を高めると同時に、チベット問題の平和的な早期解決を求めることを目的に設立された団体です。1994年にアメリカで発足したSFTは、現在までに高校、大学、地域を拠点とした650の支部を数える団体に成長し、35カ国でチベット問題を訴えています。

Students for a Free Tibet (SFT) works in solidarity with the Tibetan people in their struggle for freedom and independence. We are a chapter-based network of young people and activists around the world. Through education, grassroots organizing, and non-violent direct action, we campaign for Tibetans’ fundamental right to political freedom. Our role is to empower and train youth as leaders in the worldwide movement for social justice. Started in The United States in 1994, SFT has grown to more than 650 chapters across 35 countries.
